Fictionaut Survey

Fictionaut has always relied on your feedback to evolve. To find out what works, what doesn’t, and what we need to improve next, we’ve created a short survey.

We’re grateful for your responses.

As a judge of fiction, I must say that there is something of an “Old Boys’ Club” here. They’re mostly women, but there are literally 12 or so writers that praise each other back and forth until they have many favorites. I recognize that my work has a small, very selective audience. I’m only concerned that sub-par fiction is being recycled constantly on this site. Some of the weakest, most insipid work I’ve ever seen anywhere (and I audited/edited a bachelors program in creative writing, OUCH) is getting plaudits from.. questionable sources.
